George Osborne- Head of Alternative Finance
George Osborne is Head of Alternative Finance. The team provide banking services to the P2P and traditional lending industry. George also has responsibility for Innovation in the Financial Institutions business, charged with ensuring that the best of Barclays’ innovation work is brought to bear for clients.
George is leading on a number of areas in Barclays’ positioning for new sectors within FinTech, and holds sector policy responsibility for the exciting developments in Alternative Finance.
George has held diverse roles in Barclays, previously running Strategic Innovation projects and managing banking relationships in the AltFi and FinTech teams.
Prior to joining Barclays he served as a British Army Officer in various roles, leading soldiers in the UK, Northern Ireland, Germany, Cyprus, Kenya and Iraq.
