Mansion House Consulting

How Barclays supported Mansion House Consulting through a flexible Trade Finance facility provided during a rapid growth phase.

The Client

Mansion House Consulting (MHC) was established in 2009 with an aim to provide business and IT change management consultancy to Tier One Banking clients and, from inception, selected Barclays as their UK bankers.

The Challenge

In 2010, approximately 18 months after MHC was first established, it became apparent that the business was becoming very successful, with rapid expansion in both the UK and USA and, as such, they required a flexible Trade Finance type facility to support the fast expansion of the business.

The Solution

Eric Werner, MHC’s Executive Chairman commented, ‘We were introduced by our then Barclays Account Director to the Barclays Trade Finance team and, after some initial discussions, we secured an appropriate initial funding facility to fully support the working capital requirements of our global business’.

MHC is a truly global business with active offices in the UK, USA, Singapore and Germany, and it continues to generate exponential growth as it moves towards a GBP 50m revenue global business. Barclays will look to continue to support the business with both creative and innovative global funding solutions that meet the changing needs of the business.
