Supporting UK Exporters

The Government’s target to increase the number of UK companies exporting by 100,000 before 20201 reflects how crucial exporting is to UK businesses, but also to the UK economy.

It is essential that UK exporters adapt to the current shifts in world trade and are prepared with the tools and advice necessary to succeed in today's global marketplace.

At Barclays, we are committed to working with the UK Government to support UK businesses and their trading ambitions, both with access to finance and through our team of product specialists.

Proud to support. Exporting is great. Britain and Northern Ireland.

As part of the Government initiative, a new website, great.gov.uk^ (opens in a new window) has brought together a range of support services for new and existing exporters. These include

  • access to e-marketplaces across the world which are best suited to your business
  • access to export opportunities across the world
  • DIT’s ‘find a buyer’ service^ (opens in a new window) – offering you the opportunity to access new customers overseas and to increase sales. By setting up a company profile today, your business will be searchable by overseas buyers looking to source UK products and services when the full service launches in 2017.

great.gov.uk^ (opens in a new window) will also offer live events, webinars and other information provided by the government and its commercial partners, including Barclays.
