Supporting business across Northern Ireland

  • We work with the full range of businesses, from start-ups to PLCs, right across Northern Ireland. Our clients benefit from access to our industry teams in sectors such as Retail and Wholesale, Manufacturing, Education, Local Authorities and the Public Sector, as well as the expertise from across the wider Barclays group.
  • You can take advantage of our experience with a single point of contact; a dedicated Relationship Director. Each member of our team manages a small portfolio, allowing them the time to get to know your business and your banking needs.
  • We offer the full range of products, including traditional banking services, along with innovations such as our bio-metric security devices which are used to access Barclays.Net, widely recognised as one of the leading online banking platforms in the UK.

Supporting our community

  • We recently opened our first Barclays Eagle Lab at the Ormeau Baths in Belfast. The Eagle Lab is an entrepreneurial hub, specifically designed around the needs of high growth businesses, and perfectly tailored to suit Northern Ireland’s growing strength in digital and IT businesses. Our service includes having two dedicated relationship managers on-site, as well as providing businesses access to our other Eagle Lab locations across the UK.
  • Barclays is supporting Business in the Community to deliver our LifeSkills programme to over 20,000 young people in Northern Ireland. Together our partnership will help improve employability and skills of thousands of young people, particularly those from deprived communities - making a positive impact where it’s needed most.

A trusted partner across Northern Ireland

  • Survitec Group – Barclays supported Survitec Group in an acquisition to double its global Marine business. Chris Bates, Chief Financial Officer at Survitec Group states that the decision to select Barclays was aided by the bank’s experienced local team, coupled with the necessary international expertise to support its overseas trade.

  • Moy Park – Barclays is a long-standing banking partner to Northern Ireland’s largest private sector company, employing over 10,000 people and with a turnover of over £1.4bn. We provide all the company’s operational banking needs as well as its working capital to support the group’s expansion plans.
  • Belfast City Council – Barclays manages all of the banking requirements for one of Northern Ireland’s biggest public sector bodies. Belfast City Council has over 95,000 transactions flowing through some 18 accounts on an annual basis. Working with our dedicated, experienced onboarding team, we were able to offer them a seamless transition during what was the biggest banking move in the local government sector in over ten years.
