Brian Parsons – Global Relationship Director, Commodities
Brian is a senior director on the Commodities team based in London and has responsibility for coordinating the relationships between our commodities clients and the bank. Key within the role is to manage the delivery of products and services from our global businesses; ranging from cash management and trade finance, to working capital lending and liquidity structures across the bank’s multiple geographies.
Brian has 17 years banking experience, initially spending several years advising clients on Interest Rate and FX Risk Management Solutions and has spent the last eight years in Corporate Banking. Brian also spent several years in private industry working with a European manufacturing firm and has also run his own business for a time.
Brian joined the Global Corporates team in 2011 initially covering the bank’s Swiss corporate client portfolio and subsequently has worked across Europe. He is now part of the Commodities team covering a portfolio comprising some of the world’s largest commodities traders. Alongside his client relationship management responsibilities, Brian is a member of the Bank’s Industry Strategy Board for Commodities that is shaping Barclays’ global approach to the sector.
