Beyond a ‘nice-to-have'

82% of mid-sized businesses have taken some form of action on environmental sustainability and three quarters (73%) of companies in our research say that the environmentally responsible actions they have taken bring them at least one commercial benefit.
However, our report shows that actions on environmental sustainability are still ranked below some other considerations. Rather than a traditional CSR topic, sustainability should be viewed as a key topic to be discussed in the boardroom, with a mission to improve financial and reputational outcomes.
