Leisurewear International

The company behind the highly successful Minoti clothing brand accesses specialist trade finance to realise its ambitions to move into emerging international markets.

When you have a brand that resonates with customers worldwide, keeping up with your own growth can be challenging.

Leisurewear International is the holding company for Minoti – a Manchester-based children’s clothing brand that’s now sold across 60 countries worldwide, both online and through franchised and other retail outlets.

With plans to have 200 Minoti stores by 2020, Leisurewear needed a financial facility that could support its exponential growth, long trade cycles and its entry into younger, less regulated markets.

Our solution was to introduce Leisurewear to UK Export Finance, a UK government initiative.

Through the UKEF Working Capital Scheme, we were able to provide Leisurewear with additional funding – particularly for markets that couldn’t be fully covered under its existing facilities.

Without the UKEF facility, Leisurewear would have had to turn down sales and brand opportunities.
