CBI Annual Conference 2012

Barclays

Members of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) recently gathered at London’s Grosvenor House for their annual conference. Barclays was there, and we bring you this report on the day’s themes and discussions.

How do we forge a new economic future? That was the key question at the Confederation of British Industry conference in November. Speakers from the highest levels of business and government, including the prime minister and the leader of the opposition, outlined a strategy for progress. Going off the beaten track in export markets was a central theme. Others included good data, faster response times, innovation and the importance of longer-term thinking even in tough times. Barclays reports on the day’s topics, including interviews with a CBI official and a senior Barclays representative.
